07:00 AM: Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel.
07:30 AM: Set off for Cai Be by car/van using the Trung Luong Expressway.
Upon reaching Cai Be, we’ll hop on a boat to visit the remains of a once-famous wholesale floating market on the Tien River. This place offers insight into the local trading habits that have evolved with the advent of modern society, marked by terrestrial transportation and advanced agricultural techniques.
Next, we’ll explore small villages, admiring ancient houses and immersing ourselves in the indigenous culture.
Then you’ll make a brief stop at a family-run business where locals produce coconut fudges and crispy rice popcorn. Here, you’ll enjoy delicious fresh fruit and listen to the melodic strains of Southern Vietnamese folk music, deeply intertwined with the life and culture of the Mekong Delta people.
Paddle through small canals, you will have a chance to take in the sights, unwind, and soak up the enchanting atmosphere of the Upper Mekong Delta.
Lunchtime not only offers delectable food but also an opportunity to connect with locals as you learn to prepare Vietnamese specialties yourselves. The meal is cooked and served in the heart of a local garden.
Afterwards, you’ll cycle along village paths through orchards, interacting with local islanders to gain further insight into daily life in the Mekong Delta.
You’ll also visit Ba Kiet’s ancient house.
06:00 PM: Finally, we’ll return to Cai Be by boat and board our bus for the journey back to Ho Chi Minh City.
We will ensure to drop you off at your hotel. End of tour.
